Norma Moret's Obituary
Norma Moret The rock of our family and beloved friend of many died April 17, 2013 at the age of 91. Married in the Bronx to the love of her life, Simon, since 1942, they moved to Tucson in 1952 and raised 3 children: Richard, Ellen and Jane. Best mother in the world. After raising the family, Norma went back to college and received an MA in Speech Pathology & Audiology from UA to become a highly respected Speech Therapist with TUSD for 20 years. During those years, she began to suffer from RA. But her crippling arthritis never crippled her spirit. And she never complained. Never. Preceded in death by parents Jack and Gussie Schnapik and sister Ceil, Norma is survived by Simon, her sister Millie, and Richard, Ellen and Jane. Their respective spouses (Robbie Moret, Ron Wedgle and Bruce Ash) considered her to be the world's best mother-in-law. She also leaves grandchildren Toby, Josh, Evyn, Matt and Mike along with great grandchildren Julia, Elgia, Lula (and one on the way). The family wishes to thank PatientCare Advocates especially Joy and Thelma - for their years of devoted care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Handmaker or the Jewish Community Foundation. Graveside Services Friday, April 19, 2013, 10:30 AM, Temple Emanu-El Section of Evergreen Cemetery, with Rabbi Samuel Cohon officiating. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.
