Norman L. Toia's Obituary
Norman Leonard Toia, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was 74 years old. He was born in Detroit and moved to Tucson when he was six years old, later working at the family business, Leo's Auto Supply. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He adored being with his grandkids. He was U of A #1 sports fan. He loved watching the Tucson Rodeo Parade and was a longtime participant, with his family joining the experience in 2012. Norman was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Betty Toia; parents, Leo and Lucy. He is survived by his son, David; daughter-in-law, Tammy; son, Dennis; grandchildren, Madison, Anna Marie and Malia; brother, Don; sister-in-law, Madonna; niece, Deanie Burris; nephew, Donny Toia; extended family and ex-wife/friend, Barbara Stokes. All are from Tucson. Also aunt, Virginia; uncle, John both from Michigan and many cousins throughout the country. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Sacred Heart Church, 601 E. Ft. Lowell Rd. with the burial immediately following at Holy Hope Cemetery, North Oracle Road. In lieu of flowers make donations to Sacred Heart Church in his honor. Arrangements by Evergreen Mortuary.
