Patricia Ann Emmett's Obituary
Patricia Ann Drury Emmett was reunited with her eternal sweetheart, Frank R. Emmett, on February 26, 2023. Patricia or Patty Ann was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 22, 1931. In 1950 she met an Army veteran and recent Cornell graduate, Frank Emmett. They met on a blind date, and it was instant love; they married on February 25, 1951. They were blessed with four children. Throughout Pat’s life she always had a fascination with Arizona and her coffee table always had copies of the magazine, Arizona Highways. Her dream was answered in 1964 when Frank accepted a position with the City of Tucson as their Assistant City Engineer. In 1966 she enrolled in the University of Arizona Nursing School and graduated in 1969 with the distinction of Summa Cum Laude. She was employed with Pima County Health Department as a Public Health Nurse, she retired from that position in 1984. Following Frank’s passing and her retirement, she travelled throughout the United States and many international destinations which included the Australia, Canada, China, Europe, Mexico and USSR. In her final years she served as President of the Homeowner Association for her Townhome complex.
Patricia is survived by her four children: Victoria Mary Beel (Mike), Francis Robert Emmett (Connie), John Patrick Emmett, Elisa Marie Emmett (Jesse); six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Patty will always be remembered by her big smile, contagious laughter and being the life of the party.
