Deb Lloyd
I very well remember Paul although I had not seen him in over 30 years. First and foremost I remember his smile. He always seemed to be enjoying life and had such an easy going personality; Those around him felt relaxed and joyful in his presence. I was new to Tucson and to have Paul as friend helped me transition and feel as if I belonged.
I remember him being spontaneous and willing to try new things. I once suggested that we get in costume and attend a Halloween Party. It was a "spur of the moment" type thing. I'm not even sure that we were directly invited. I can't remember where the party was or who was throwing it, but I remember well that both Paul and his sister, Olivia, were game to go with me. Off the three of us went with me dressed as a space person, Olivia as a french maid and Paul as Jimmy Hendricks. Needless to say we had fun.
Another wonderful memory I have is when Olivia introduced Paul and I to KXCI radio station in Tucson. Olivia said anyone could get on air and do a show; she spurred us on. Paul and I decided to give it a try. We did a Hall and Oats Show. Neither of us were very good DJ's but we sure had a good time trying.
Even though I had not seen him in many years, I will miss his kind spirit. He helped to enrich my life. I personally believe he has gone on to somewhere much better than the world that we know. I believe he is at peace and smiling. I do hope to see him again one day.
