Paul E. Gottschall's Obituary
Paul E. Gottschall III, age 59, passed away on June 28, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona, after a long series of illnesses. Paul was born in Endicott, New York, to Paul E. Gottschall Jr. and Joan Gottschall (née Landon) on October 7, 1964.
Paul grew up in Broomfield, Colorado until the age of 15. He was a natural athlete and a star player on the football and wrestling teams. He was very smart and mechanically inclined, always building stuff like go-karts, mini-bikes and forts with his many young friends. He often reminisced about the wonderful childhood he had growing up in the small town of Broomfield. In 1979, his family moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he completed his high school education, played football and set records on the 100m/200m track for Canyon Del Oro High School. After graduation, Paul pursued training and work in the trades and eventually established his own business in Tucson. He had two children, Morgan and Cole, whom he cared for and deeply loved. He was passionate about cars and was restoring a vintage Ford Mustang when he passed. He was a loyal fan of the Denver Broncos, having gone to many football games at Mile High Stadium with his dad when he was a young boy.
Paul was predeceased by his father, Paul Jr. He is survived by his mother Joan Gottschall, his daughter Morgan Louise Gottschall, his son Cole Landon Gottschall, his sister Beth Gottschall and brother-in-law Stefan Myslicki, his sister Janice Gottschall, his brother Tom Gottschall and sister-in-law Elizabeth Bradbury, his nephew Tyler Gottschall and niece Lauren Gottschall, and the mother of his children Allison McCorquodale. He also leaves behind his lifelong best friend from his childhood in Broomfield, Randy Law.
Paul was always loved and will be deeply missed by friends and family throughout the country. He will be buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson, Arizona. A celebration of his life is being planned for October.
