Ralph Emil Dohnel's Obituary
Ralph Dohnel was born on October 15, 1939 to Paul and Ella Dohnel, their third son. He had two brothers, Paul and Herbert Dohnel. Herbert had three children Susan, David, and Kent.
Ralph married Rowena Heck on October 17, 1992 and she had four children; Kay Raines, Dana Heck, Wesley Heck, and Rowena May Heck.
He went to Glendale High in Glendale, California and graduated in 1957. He then went to trade tech for ceramic tile construction. His father was a tile contractor in Glendale and all three boys worked for their father. Ralph lived in Glendale all his life until 2017 when he moved to Tucson, Arizona. He loved to fish at Yellowstone Lake in the park from his childhood. He was a very caring “step father”, a very good Christian, and attended German Methodist Church in Los Angeles, California.
He loved his trips to Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada. Ralph was the most loving and caring husband and will be so very very missed.
Ralph is survived his devoted wife; Rowena, loving children; Kay, Dana, Wesley, and Rowena May. He is also survived by 8 doting grandchildren Jaclyn, Kimberly, Jessica, Whitney, Lauren, Summer Leah, and Wesley. He is furthermore survived by 7 adoring great grandchildren; Alyssa, Marissa, Nevaeh, Johnny, Julian, Rylee, and Westin and 1 great great- grandson; Ryder Lee and nephews; David and Kent, and niece; Susan.
Ralph will be greatly missed and forever loved by all.
