Ray Harris was and still is my good friend. We met threw his wife who I worked with at Dennys. Ray had a rough outside, but deep inside he was a rough, tough, creampuff of a guy. He would help anyone of his friends such as me who was trying to make a difference in his or her life. I cannot count all the ways he helped me out during his life here on this earth..........to many to count...... I remember one day we were sitting out side my trailer and this Mexican lady was selling Ice Cream to make a living. One day she turned the corner and her car sounded like a dump truck. So we approached her and asked her to pop the hood.......her fan belt was split in half, so he told her in his BEST Mexican that the fan belt was bad and needed to be replaced. She said Thank you and asked him if he wanted some ice cream, he said no and smiled and she went on her way. The next day she had her car was fixed. Ray not knowing this lady just wanted to help her out because she was working so hard and didn't know what was wrong with her car until Ray showed her....That's the type of person Ray was. He'd help anyone that was helping to better themselves. That's one of many of stories that I can tell you.
He helped me remove my cooler from my roof and put a new one up there with his assistance. When we got done he looked at me and said......."Now its MORE BETTER"........I looked at him like what kind of Redneck are you".......lol....he just smiled his smile and was happy to help me. That is Ray Harris that I know and will ALWAYS remember.
May you R.I.P now Ray Harris.....you are truly missed by EVERYONE that you touched with your kind heart. I will NEVER forget you Ray Harris........you were my Good Buddy, my friend, you made me a better person just knowing you.
