Raymond Gerard Boisvert's Obituary
Raymond G. Boisvert, affectionately known as Ray, passed away peacefully in Tucson, AZ on May 3, 2025, at the age of 86 after a 2-year struggle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born in Massachusetts on February 4, 1939, Ray lived a life full of adventure, love, and dedication.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Kathy; his son Cary; his step-son Ryan; and his son-in-law Brian. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Ray graduated from Purdue University in 1961 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. His passion for aviation led him to serve in the US Air Force for five years, where he was honored with induction into the prestigious Daedalian Foundation as the top pilot of his class. During his service, Ray was stationed in Europe, where he developed a lifelong love for travel. He explored the continent extensively, as well as Asia and Hawaii, which became a favorite destination for him and Kathy.
Ray's career as a pilot for Trans World Airlines spanned over 35 years, during which he met Kathy. Their shared love for travel and adventure created countless memories together. Ray was not only a skilled pilot but also a man of many talents. He enjoyed golfing, savoring a good Scotch, and was a master BBQer. His passion for DIY projects was evident in the barn with a mother-in-law unit he built almost singlehandedly.
Ray's legacy is one of dedication, love, and a zest for life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (www.lbda.org) in Ray's honor. Services will be held at a later date at Riverside National Cemetery.
