Reuben Moreno's Obituary
Reuben Moreno, 62 from Tucson, Arizona, passed away at home on April 1, 2023 with his wife Melissa, the love of his life, by his side.
Reuben was born March 3, 1961 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Rosalino and Noemi Moreno. He lived in Tucson, Arizona since 1966. He graduated from Flowing Wells High School in 1979. He played in sports, and was on the wrestling and weightlifting team.
Reuben loved life to the fullest, he enjoyed the outdoors and nature. Reuben enjoyed riding his bike and working out at his home gym. He loved hiking and camping and took up fishing after his wife taught him while they were dating.
They purchased their current home by Davis Monthan Air Force Base just so Reuben was able to sit on his front porch and watch the military aircraft fly over. He also loved to sit out on the porch in the morning to drink his coffee and watch and listen to the wild life.
Reuben was a big fan of all U of A sports, especially football and men’s basketball. He would attend as many games as possible. U of A is a family favorite. He was also a Miami Marlins baseball fan.
Reuben was employed with the Arizona Department of Corrections and took great pride in his career as a Corrections Officer ll. Reuben’s biggest honor came true when he was told that the Color Guard presentation would honor him at his services.
Reuben had a great love for all his family, his beautiful smile, unique laugh and humor will be tremendously missed.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Frank & Elena Moreno, Manuel & Julia Resendez and a great nephew, Nico Rocco Catalano. He is survived by his Wife Melissa, his father, Rosalino Moreno, his mother, Noemi (Jose) Moreno, his son, Storm Moreno, 3 daughter’s, Alexa Moreno, Maranda Scozzarella and Tabitha (Cody) Martin, a granddaughter, Aubree Martin, all of Tucson, AZ. Two Brothers, Andy (Cynthia) Moreno from Casa Grande, AZ, Ronald Moreno, his sister, Monica (Arthur) Moreno-Villaescusa, 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 7 great nieces, and 2 great nephews. All from Tucson, AZ
The Moreno family would like to thank our family and friends for the prayers, love, and the donations we received through the go-fund me, zelle and cash.
Visitation will be held at Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery, 3015 N. Oracle Road on Friday April 14th from 9 AM to 11 AM with a service at 11 AM.
