Richard Paul Edis' Obituary
Richard Paul Edis Jr. was born on April 26, 1990, in Fontana, California. He left us too soon on April 16, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, just ten days shy of his 35th birthday.
As a child, Richard spent his days skateboarding, swimming, playing outdoors with his sister, and making beach trips with his dad. Moments filled with love, laughter, and sunshine.
He was a state karate champion. The discipline and work ethic he developed in the dojo stayed with him throughout his life. At 16, he moved to Show Low, Arizona, bringing his laid-back California spirit along with him. It was there, during his junior year of high school, that he met the mother of his children. Around that time, he also began working with his father at White Mountain Nissan, a role that helped shape his path and values.
Richard had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed snowboarding, fishing, and camping under the stars. He also had a passion for cooking, a gift he inherited from his mother. He was a generous friend, always ready to help others, quick to forgive, and someone many considered their best friend.
Above all else, Richard was a proud and loving father. He welcomed his daughter, Rylan Adalei Edis, in 2010, and his son, Riddik Robert Edis, in 2013. His children were his world. Whether he was braiding Rylan’s hair or skateboarding with Riddik, his favorite role, without question, was being their dad.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Rylan Adalei Edis; his son, Riddik Robert Edis; his mother, Elizabeth Ann Edis; his father, Richard Paul Edis Sr.; and his sister, Elizabeth Ann Edis, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
A celebration of life to honor Richard Paul Edis Jr. will be held on May 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Mortuary Chapel.
