he was one of the funniest person - sometimes with big hats - spoke good Spanish (fluent) and never judge. As inspector was very fair. we will miss him very much - I learnt a lot over the years in the field (plumbing)
Our city, community and our trade lost a good man. Respected, a colleague and friend I will miss.
Always enjoyed working with Rick he will be missed. May the Lord hold in his arms as you heal from this loss.
Rick you are a precious son. we will always hold your wonderful memories in our hearts
Diane and I were best friends in Nursing school. We helped each other study and calm down when school became too much.I remember when Diane were getting dressed for the wedding. Diane was running around this little room and freaking out about something. I said, Diane calm down it will be alright. Just about that time Rick popped his head in and said "Diane, it will be alright" I thought to myself. I have passed the torch, he will take care of her. He took care of her for 31 years. We have been blessed
Rick was a fun guy to hangout with; He always had stories to tell, or local history to share. He was more than a stunt man; he loved to role-play, dress in costume, switch into character as a warrior from medieval times, or as an Old Tucson actor or announcer or cowboy out of the history books. He was also a tour guide at Sabino canyon and could still recite the tour. He knew many phrases in several different languages and could imitate foreign accents. He had been working hard to master the Spanish language. He was very articulate and had perfect spelling and grammar. He was a chef and appreciated fine food. He wore fine jewelry and knew what a quality watch was. Rick enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, mining, rappelling, and shooting. He liked good music and concerts. He was a very proud parent. Rick was a pleasure to work with; he was very knowledgeable and professional, he took pride in his work, a true craftsman. He was a teacher, not only in a classroom, but he was happy to share his knowledge every day. Rick was a true public servant, and a dedicated and thorough Inspector. He has undoubtedly saved many lives over the years in the course of his duties as an Inspector and a Plumber. The Tucson community has lost a good man. We miss you Rick.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, Rick will be missed.
Our deepest sympathies to the family.
So sorry for your loss, had me him several times for business, he was a pleasure to work with.
