Rick Edward Whittemore's Obituary
Rick Edward Whittemore, 64, passed away suddenly on December 25, 2015, after a prolonged illness. Rick was born in Tacoma, WA on August 13, 1947. He graduated from Amphitheater High School in 1965 and attended the University of Arizona. Much of his adult life was spent doing ironwork in Tucson, Alaska and Washington. He also worked throughout Arizona for CBS Marketing (Northern AZ Grocery). He was a poker dealer in Show Low, Pinetop and Tucson before his retirement.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Terry; two children—son, Scott and daughter, Traci (Ryan) Roe; four grandchildren – Alyssa and Quinton Whittemore and Tyler and Natalie Roe; two stepsons—Chris (Jessica) and Nicholas Hulvey; and his sister—Terri (Len) Lantych. He was preceded in death by his Father, Lon (1983) and Mother, Shirley (2015) and brother, Jerry (1996).
Rick was always an avid sports fan and most particularly a UA fan and truly got to enjoy the UA Basketball team playing in the first round of the 2015 tournament in Portland with his wife and son and grandchildren. He will be missed.
A private cremation has been held.
