Robert Allen Rose's Obituary
Robert Allen Rose was born in Waltham, MA on April 22, 1944 and was called to Heaven to join his parents Raymond and Gertrude Rose, January 18, 2018.
Bob and his brother, John, moved to Tucson with his parents as young boys. After high school, he joined the Army. Bob proudly served his country in Vietnam. This experience he carried with him his entire life. Although he seldom talked about his time in Vietnam, he was very forthcoming when his grandchildren interviewed him for a school report.
Bob married as a young man and this union brought him his most precious daughter, Monica. His relationship with Monica was much treasured. Monica married Paul Skaife and blessed Bob with his grandsons, Jeremy and Caleb. He boasted about these two accomplished young men to anyone who would listen.
Bob met and married his soul mate, Trich, when they were in their early thirties. She blessed him with three teenagers; Debbie Shaw, Tammy Barrie and Shawn Shaw. Bob treated these three as his own and he has loved and supported them throughout the years. When grown, these three rewarded him by making him Papa to 12 grandchildren; Krystle, Michael, Brandon (Amanda), Shawn, Matthew, Dillon, Alexis, Tristan, Layne, Hunter, Taya, and Trista. They also blessed him with 5 great grandchildren; Aubrianna, Joshua, Mindy, Ryan and Emma. He shared with them his love of car racing and taught them to respect and honor their parents.
Bob was hardworking his entire life but his final years working as a Right of Way Inspector for the Town of Marana were his most treasured. He was a valued member of the team and well respected. He cherished his relationships with his coworkers and friends. He was very saddened when he was forced to retire due to health reasons.
Bob's last year was wrought with illness, but it also gave him the opportunity to forge a stronger relationship with his brother, John. He valued this so much.
Bob lived a full life as son, brother, husband, father, Papa and friend. It is with great sadness we bid him farewell. May he receive his just rewards in Heaven and may he rest in peace.
