Robert Leroy White's Obituary
Robert L. White, MSgt., USAF Ret., born in Toledo, OH on November 22, 1930 and died June 23, 2012 in Tucson. Bob fought a long and courageous 19 year battle with Parkinson's Disease; he never let it get the best of him. He maintained his quick wit and kept busy, scooting around the park playing cards and bingo with his friends right up to the day he was hospitalized. Bob attended school in Oklahoma and Texas, before joining the U.S Air Force in 1949, serving until his retirement in 1972. He married in 1955 that brought six children, Jeff White, Jennifer (Richard) Elsberry, Jay (Kim) White, Jamie (Chris) White, Jill (Dave) Kelley and Jason (Teresa) White. 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. In 1970 he married Dora, who will love him forever, and was blessed with five more children, Cal (Debbie) Monroe, Barbara (Bill) Addison, Billy Monroe, Bonnie (Tom) Dudelston and Tammy (TC) Turner, 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and I great great grandchild. After retirement from the Air Force, he worked at Clark's Pool Supply. He began working at Hughes (Raytheon) where he worked as a timekeeper until he retired from there. He was a blessing to this family with his love, devotion and patience. He was much loved and will be missed by his family and many friends at Comanche Wells Mobile Home Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. Services Wednesday, 9:30 AM at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, with Pastor Zane Anderson of Victory Worship Center officiating. Military honors by DMAFB Honor Guard. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
