Bob was a regular participant and contributor to the men's support group at Banner for several years. After it became too difficult for him to attend the meetings, he and I would chat on the phone every now and then, just to keep current. I learned about his career as a graphic artist, and how huge a baseball fan he was. He frequently expressed how appreciative he was for the care Ruth gave him during his illness.
Bob was very friendly and interested in other people. In the men's group he would listen and share information he thought might benefit others. He would often remark that his father had died young and Bob couldn't believe it when he reached 90. And despite his age, Bob had the very best head of hair any of us had seen (or had) for a very long time!
