Roberto Guillermo Orozco's Obituary
Roberto Guillermo Orozco passed away November 22, 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona. Roberto was born to Jose Luis Antonio Orozco y Jimenez and Amparo Orozco Priego in Mexico City, Mexico. He attended high school at San Idelfonso. He met Gayleen Kadrmas on foreign exchange. After marrying, they lived in Germany for 7 years, where he obtained a master’s degree in computer science from Die Universitaet Karlsruhe. Upon returning to Corvallis, Oregon, they had two children, Rafael and Ryan.
As a Software Engineer, he spent most of his career at Hewlett-Packard before eventually capping his career at Raytheon in Tucson, Arizona. He was very proud to contribute to Raytheon and was surrounded by caring and supportive colleagues.
Roberto was blessed with his wife, Alejandra, for 19 years. They married in Manzanillo, Mexico and called Fort Collins, Colorado home before moving to Green Valley, Arizona. Roberto was active all of his life and enjoyed hiking the Rocky Mountains, as well as playing soccer well into his 60’s. He was passionate about music, especially classical, oldies and traditional Mexican. This was ultimately expressed through his talented guitar playing. He was a voracious reader of cultural and historical genres.
Roberto was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, cousin, uncle, and husband. His caring and calm manner toward everyone was unfailingly present in life and will be eternal in spirit. He is survived by his wife, Alejandra and children, Rafael, Ryan (Katie), Karina (Rafael), Luis, and his granddaughters, Lucy, Ellie, Renata and Camila. He is also survived by his siblings Carlos, Nury, Ealan and Etna. He also leaves behind a legacy of beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces, as well as all his close friends that became his brothers.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Evergreen Mortuary. 3015 N Oracle Rd. Tucson AZ 85705 Visitation to be held Sunday, November 26th at Evergreen Mortuary beginning at 10:30 AM.
