Roger Emil O'Mara's Obituary
Roger Emil O’Mara was born in Brooklyn, New York on Friday August 21st, 1936, to Roger Jerome (deceased) and Muriel W. O’Mara (deceased). Roger grew up playing in Brooklyn until the family relocated out west as so many families did, to Tucson, Arizona in 1943. Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
Roger worked for almost 20 years as a Kitchen Assistant at the Student Union located in the middle of the University of Arizona Campus.
He will be dearly missed by friends who became his chosen family, including the Estes family and Parnell family, both from Tucson, among others. He will be fondly remembered as a gentle soul who loved Dick Tracy comics and was as kind “as Mrs. Evelyn Ricks is pretty”.
