Obituary, Visitation & Funeral Information

Born March 9, 1951 in Chicago, IL, Ronald (“Ronnie”) Lee Becker (68) passed away on November 24, 2019 at his home in Tucson, AZ, following a 2-year battle with declining health. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Eleanor (“Yudie”) and Irving. His sister, Elyse (“Lisi”) Davis Frankel and her husband, Harvey, reside in Carmel, IN. Ronnie’s brother, Gary, and his wife, Patricia (“Pat”), reside in Tucson, AZ. Ronnie is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Allison Dupont, Aaron Becker, Samantha Becker, Dara Wade, Andrea Seely, Jennifer Morrison, and Jessica Johnson.

Ronnie made his living in the business world, principally in real estate, and then later as a mortgage broker. His personality was larger-than-life, and his penchant to surprise people in conversation with little-known facts legendary. Ronnie was generous beyond measure, giving truly from the heart, and not only to relatives and close friends, but also to charitable causes. In recent years, he became a steadfast advocate and supporter of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.

Ronnie adored dogs, especially his beloved Marky. He enjoyed cooking, watching sports, fishing, playing cards and backgammon, and going to the movies.

Cremation will take place on Friday at Evergreen Mortuary, Cemetery, and Crematory. Visitation and services are as follows:

Visitation and memorial service in Tucson, AZ:

Visitors are welcome at the home of Gary and Pat Becker (Address: 3368 E. Camino Boscaje Escondido, Tucson, AZ, 85718.) on Sunday, December 1st and Monday, December 2nd, 2019, from 3-6PM each day. During Monday visitation at 4PM, a memorial service at the Becker home will be led by Rabbi Thomas Louchheim of Or Chadash. Becker home phone: (520) 299-2567.

Visitation and memorial service in Carmel, IN:

Visitors are welcome at the home of Lisi Davis and Harv Frankel (Address: 9769 Colonial Drive, Carmel, IN, 46032) on Sunday, December 1st from 3-6PM, with a minyan at 5:15PM. There will be a memorial service at Lisi and Harv’s home on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 at 2PM led by Cantor Melissa Cohen of Beth El Zedeck. Phone: (317) 253-3441.
