Rosetta M. Fletcher's Obituary
FLETCHER, Rosetta Marie (Greer) 81, while surrounded by her family, sharing memories, and saying she was so happy and ready to go, passed away on January 29, 2017. We can only aspire to leave this earth with as much humor, happiness, bravery and grace as she did. She was born on December 20, 1935 in Kansas to Ralph Greer and Sadie (Fisher) Greer as the baby sister to two older brothers, Glen Greer and Bruce Greer. She eventually got a baby sister when Debra (Gump) Burleson was born. During Rosetta's childhood she was moved around frequently, mainly spending time in NM living with her Grandma and Grandpa whom she adored, and eventually landing in Phoenix. She married at a young age and always wanted daughters, and got her wish when she had Pamela Louise (Fisher) Owens and Annette Marie (Claxton) Reese. She later met and married her soulmate, Allen "Bud" Fletcher who brought with him his three children, Allen "Dale" Fletcher, Cindy Louellen (Fletcher) Hinkle and Toni Gail (Fletcher) Johnson. Together they had Robyn Dee (Fletcher) Nicholson and created the yours, mine, and ours family of eight, a family that worked hard but also played hard together, creating many amazing memories, all while she worked full time on the graveyard shift as an assembler at Motorola. Bud and Rosetta moved to Tucson in 1976 to work in the road construction industry at Bruce Greer Construction, where she drove a water truck until she became a dispatcher. She enjoyed her job and loved all the people she worked with as if they were her extended family, but was happy to eventually retire. She spent her last years living with a dear friend, Jackie Newcombe in Phoenix, where she said she knew she'd always return to someday. She has gone to be with her grandparents, her parents, her brothers, her daughters, Pam and Cindy, and the love of her life, "Bud". She leaves behind to miss her dearly her four surviving children, Robyn, Annette, Toni, and Dale, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three nephews, her sweet Aunt Aletta who's feisty as ever at 92, and many cousins that she truly loved. Rest in paradise Mommy, Grandma, Sis, Auntie, niece, cousin, friend, sweet Rosetta.
