Ruth Gould's Obituary
RUTH "PAT" GOULD 11/23/1917 - 3/31/2012 Born in San Francisco, the eldest daughter of Dr. Charles and Elizabeth Tweed, Pat applied herself initially to a career in education, and then worked at the US Embassy in Mexico City for five years, where she met her husband, Ted. They were married on Guam and settled in Nogales, where they started an import business. The business led to a store in Carmen, AZ, and Pat ran the store while raising her family. She eventually returned to teaching, first in Nogales and later in Tucson, where she worked until retirement. Pat then took up tap dancing, performing on stage locally with several troupes into her eighties. She and Ted also traveled the country peddling their own handmade crafts, and riding the wildest roller coasters that they could locate. Pat was as assiduous in retirement as she was as an educator, business owner and mother to her children, and excelled consistently. The family extends a very special thanks to both past and present owners and staff of Aguilera Home Assisted Living, and Casa de la Luz Hospice. A gathering of family and friends to share memories of Pat will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012from 3:00 5:00 pm at Aguilera Home, 4740 W. Via Aguilera.
