I was honored to have the opportunity to visit with Ruth, my grandmother not long before she passed on to see the Lord. I loved spending every minute with her, doing her nails, talking , laughing and showing her all the love I could during my visit. I wanted to stay with her longer so much....that or bring her back home with me!! Which I almost turned the car around and did! :) I miss her SO much! She taught me things a mother teaches her daughter, she taught me about life, relationships...gave me great advise about men, (which i should have followed more..LOL! She taught me how to take care of a home, cook the best sweet potatoes, sausage & gravy...and so much more that it would take days to mention everything I learned from her. She was such an amazing, beautiful, smart, funny, courageous, independent, generous, loving, feisty woman!! She has made an imprint on my heart and in my life forever. No one will ever replace her or even come close to the woman and grandmother she will always be to me. One of my favorite memory of our time together will always be all the late nights we stayed up talking..for hours. Everyone else would be asleep by 9 pm ...but her and I would talk and talk all night...about everything. We called ourselves the "night owls." I miss those nights...I love her so much and know with all my heart she is in heaven, surrounded by lots of people she loves. Her husband Ralph, her son n law Rob, her mother, one of her best friends and many more she loves so much!!! I am so blessed to have had her in my life and as a result I am better woman, mother, sister, friend....Because of Ruth May... My grandmother and One of my Best friends. Now I like to think she is my guardian angel! I love you grandma with all my heart!! xxxooxo
