Sam Junior Santistevan's Obituary
SANTISTEVAN, SAM J., 82, of Tucson, passed away July 15, 2015. He was born in Denver, son of the late Sam and Cora (Durance) Santistevan. Sam proudly served his country with the US Air Force for 26 years. His served all around the world, ending his career here in Tucson. He was an avid fisherman. Sam’s family will remember him as a loving father who had a very generous heart and as one who showered his family with unconditional love. His sense of humor will be greatly missed. Sam is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Ann (Trujillo) Santistevan; his son, Sam (Lydia) Santistevan of Tucson; daughters, Kathleen (Michael) Clark of Tucson and Maria Elena (Eric) Sherer of FL. Sam was proud of his 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He leaves a sister, Sarah Gonzales of Denver. Sam was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Lee and a granddaughter, Michelle Ann. A funeral service with full military honors will be held 3 PM, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at EVERGREEN MORTUARY, North Oracle & W Miracle Mile. The Visitation will be from 2 PM until the time of service. A private innichement will take place at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of So. Arizona at the convenience of the family.
