Santiago Julian Galaz's Obituary
Santiago Julian Galaz was riding Angeles Crest Highway on February 20, 2022, at around 10:30 am. They left the summit ranger station, heading east on his 2018 Suzuki GSX S1000f with a group of several other riders. About one mile in he lost control on a curve and fell into a ravine where he mercifully died instantly.
Julian, as he was known by friends and family, was born in Tucson Arizona on January 26th, 1994 to parents Santiago and Lara. He was the eldest son with three younger sisters who always looked up to him. Julian attended Miller Elementary, Booth Fickett MS, Palo Verde HS and graduated from Tucson High Magnet School in 2012. He went on to attend Pima Community College where he graduated in 2015 with an Associate of Applied Science in Systems Administration/Networking Administrator. He worked for many years at Enterprise Car rental as an agent before he decided to follow what he loved, computer systems management. He was hired on at Mural Consulting Corporation where he started as an Office 365 Concierge Ambassador in 2018 and then moved up to become a Microsoft 365 Premier Engineer in 2021.
Like his Uncle who he always looked up to and preceded him in death, Aaron Roy Braden, Julian’s life was cut too short. Julian is survived by parents Santiago A Galaz and Lara A Braden, his three sisters Helena E Galaz, Madelaine A Galaz, and Anika C Galaz. He is also survived by all of his Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins. He was the godfather to Mila and Skyler Meneely, a role that he took very seriously.
Julian will be deeply missed, he was the kindest soul to his family and friends and the best big brother ever, we will miss our gentle warmhearted giant. Funeral services will be held at Evergreen Mortuary 3015 N. Oracle Rd Tucson, AZ 85705 on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Viewing for Julian Galaz starts at 9:30am. Chapel Service at 10:30am, Cemetery service immediately following at the gravesite.
There is an ongoing GoFundMe for donations to help pay for funeral expenses. We also wish to thank all those who have offered their condolences, comfort, and support to the family and close friends at this time.
Julian will be forever missed and loved, ride on dude.
