Santiago "Sonny" Jesus Baraoidan's Obituary
It's with great sadness that the family of Santiago “Sonny” Baraoidan, announces his passing on Tuesday March 19th 2019, at the age of 71 years.
Sonny will be lovingly remembered by his wife Roseelva “Randi” and his children; Brian(Donna),Corey, and stepdaughters Dawn (David), Sara (Ron). Sonny will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Daena (Ashlyne), Ekana, Anthony, Nico and Great Grandchild Daelyne-Mae.
Sonny passed in Tucson Arizona after spending the last 5 years on the mainland-between California and Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Alfredo Bareng Baraoidan and Maria Taboa Baraoidan.
Sonny was the oldest of his many siblings. Brothers: Bobby (Linda),Rudy, Reggie(Marequit) and Jobie. Sisters: Linda(Marino)Agapay, Pat(Craig)Hayase, Edralen(Mike) and Gerilyn(Hokualii). He also had many cousins, as well a many nieces and nephews that will sorely miss him.
Sonny served in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. After his years of service he had a long career with Aloha Airlines from which he retired to then work for Papakea Resort in Lahaina Maui. Sonny enjoyed fishing, attending and watching sports events, and truly loved spending time with family at any and all gatherings.
A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on the 13th of April from 12-3 pm at The American Legion at 5845 E.22nd St Tucson AZ 85711
Sonny will go home to Lahaina Maui where his ashes will scattered following a Memorial Service to be held on May 11th at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church with a reception to follow at Hapakao’o Beach Park.
