Sarah Louise Gatchell's Obituary
GATCHELL, Sarah Louise (September 22nd 2011)Sarah Louise Gatchell, age 79, of St. David, formerly of Tucson and Showlow, passed away on September 17, 2011 at her home. She was born in Evergreen Township, MN, daughter of the late Frederick William and Agnes (Ready) Janke. She and her husband moved their family to Tucson in 1968. They lived in Showlow for a number of years and have resided in St. David for the past five years. Sarah was a member of American Legion Post 7 and the former Moose Lodge #747. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors. She was fond of camping, fishing and target practice. She and her husband were Arizona Hunter Education instructors. Sarah leaves her beloved husband of 62 years, Melvin Lee Gatchell; her children; Kathryn (Bill) Seffron of NE, Debra (Wayne) Johnson, Cindy (Dan) Ebarb, all of Tucson and Jeff Gatchell of ND. She is survived by 8 grand children, 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Bostrom of MN and Alice Murray of CO, and many nephews and nieces. A Graveside Service will be held, 1 PM Monday, September 26 in EVERGREEN CEMETERY with Pastor Jim Howard, Tucson Baptist Temple officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Disabled Veterans of Arizona, 38 W. Dunlap Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85021. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY.
