Shirley Bess Goldberg's Obituary
Shirley Elpern Goldberg - Born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania in 1935, and moved to Tucson in 1950 with her family. Shirley was the fifth child of six girls and one boy. She attended Tucson High School and graduated from the University of Arizona, majoring in sociology. Upon graduation, Shirley joined the United States Navy and served as a Lieutenant for six years during the Vietnam War, serving at the Pentagon, U.S. bases and in England. Shirley then moved to California, where she met her husband, Leonard Goldberg (deceased). Thirteen years ago, she introduced Leonard to Tucson. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Rosenbaum, and her son, Aaron Goldberg, and her three sisters, Sorale Fortman, Zita Fortman, and Lois Bejerano. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 9:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery, 3015 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705 - in the Anshei Israel Section.
