Shiu Yuk Wong's Obituary
Mrs. Shiu Yuk “Sue” Wong of Tucson passed away after a battle with Congestive Heart Failure on March 18, 2021. Sue was born in Toysan, Kwangtung, China on June 25, 1935. She was educated in Taiwan in the 50’s where she became a schoolteacher for many years. In 1962 she immigrated to the US and married her husband Yau Yip Wong “Henry” the following year. Sue helped run her husband’s restaurant and manage their rental properties. She was also a seamstress and home maker while she raised her son. Sue is survived by her son Philip (Tara) Wong as well as a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. Her husband, Henry preceded her in death in 1976. She will be put to rest along side her husband in Evergreen Cemetery. There will be a small gathering for friends and family at a later date. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to The Salvation Army.
