Stanley James Cheske's Obituary
STANLEY JAMES CHESKE Age 94, long time resident of Tucson, passed away on January 16, 2012. He was born in Chicago, son of the late Walter J. and Mary C. (Vleczyk) Cheske. Stanley was a self-made man, he studied diligently, educating himself so that he had become a Quality Engineer in the Aero-Space industry by the time he retired. He was a musician and actually built his own double neck guitar. Stanley worked hard to provide for and nurture his family. He was predeceased by his wife. Anastasia Catherine on January 4, 1993. He is survived by his children: Stanley L. (Lisa) Cheske, Thomas J. (Kikuko) Cheske, James A. (Fran) Cheske, Christine H. O'Sullivan, Mary Ann (Francis) Hendrickson, and Jeannie Cheske all of Tucson. He was the proud grandfather of Thomas, Christine, Jonathan, Jason, Chris, Timothy, James and Brian and his great grandchildren, Tristin Jacob, Gianna, Alex, William and Brooklyn. He leaves a brother, Edward Martin Cheske if Chicago, a niece, Vivian Stawarz of Tucson as well as several nieces and nephews in Chicago. He was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Raymond. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Friday, January 20, 2012 at Saint Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco, Tucson. Burial will follow in Holy Hope Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the church Friday at 10 AM prior to Mass. The family extends their thanks for the excellent care given to Stanley by the staff of 100 Palms Assisted Living and Odyssey Hospice. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made in Stanley's name to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in care of the church. The arrangements are by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY.
