Sue Ellen Stibbe's Obituary
STIBBE, Sue Ellen
of Tucson, AZ, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, 25 September 2018. She was born on 12 June 1944 in Sparta, WI and moved to Tucson in 1948. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Harold E. and E. Madge (Buelow) Stibbe. She is survived by her cousins Pete (Peggy) Buelow of VA, Richard Buelow of UT and Jackie (Kelvin) Kojimoto of UT and MANY loving and caring friends. Sue graduated from Amphitheater High School and the U of A (Elementary Ed). She taught elementary school at Ft. Huachuca for 30 years prior to her retirement. Sue traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand as well as the United States. She enjoyed reading and belonged to 2 book clubs who shared her passion. She loved knitting and applied her skills at her church knitting prayer shawls. She walked most mornings at Udall Park, played badminton and bunco and loved cats. Her great passion was volunteer work at the TMC, UMC and Lutheran Gift Shops, the UN Center Store and Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. She was a long time member of Phi Lambda Chapter of Phrateres International Service Club. Her beaming smile, infectious laugh and quick wit brightened our lives and will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service celebrating Sue's life will be held on Tuesday October 2nd at 2:00 pm at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1200 N. Campbell Ave., Tucson. Arrangements by Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery. Donations may be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church or Hermitage Cat Shelter.
