Sylvia Hing Lee's Obituary
Sylvia H. Lee passed away March 25, 2023 at the age of 73 after a battle with endometrial cancer. Born October 10, 1949 in Tucson. Preceded in death by her parents, Alan and Jean Lee. Sylvia is survived by siblings David (Judy), Patsy, and Alan Jr., nephews Marcus (April) and Darren (Betsy), grandnieces Vivian, Sabrina, Emma and grandnephews Derek and Brayden, Uncle Gregg Yan, cousin Ritchie (Irene) and their daughter, Stephanie.
Sylvia started working at her father’s Chinese restaurant, the Four Seasons in high school. After father sold the restaurant in 1984, she went to work for S. Silverberg & Sons Jewelers as their office manager. She enjoyed the family atmosphere at S. Silverberg & Sons. The customers were her favorite part of the day. She retired in 2022 after 37 years with them. Sherri, Edward Silverberg’s wife would say Sylvia was his work wife.
The Lee family would like to extend their gratitude to Casa de la Luz Hospice and the Senior Helpers, and to the very special three Quen sisters that help care for Sylvia in her last days.
A celebration of Sylvia’s life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, 1 pm at the Starr Pass Resort & Spa. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in her honor to Friends of PACC (Pima Animal Control Center) or Tucson Chinese Cultural Center.
