Sylvia Levin's Obituary
Sylvia C. (Spekter) Levin, 88, of Tucson passed away peacefully on May 3, 2012. Her long career of helping people began after she received her RN from Beth Israel School of Nursing. For most of the next 17 years she nursed in several hospital labor, delivery and nursery wards. She later assisted in an orthopedic surgeon's office, and was floor nurse in the psychiatric unit of a nearby hospital. Following her nursing career, she served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross. Along the way she earned a B.Ed from Utah State University in 1960. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Marshall D. Levin and her son, Scott. She is survived by her two sons Joel and David, and grandchildren Sarah, Andrew, Rebecca and Rachel. Graveside Service will be held Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 1:15 pm in the Temple Emanu-El Section of Evergreen Cemetery, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a gift to a charity of one's choice in Sylvia's name.
