Sylvia Paley's Obituary
Sylvia Paley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She died peacefully in Tucson, Arizona surrounded by love on May 21, 2023, at age 93.
Sylvia was born to immigrant parents, Shmuel and Celia Tiffel, on November 8, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York. She met her loving husband Alfred (of blessed memory) at age fourteen. It was love at first sight. A bond that lasted a lifetime. She is survived by her three children Maureen, Howard, and Doreen … and four grandchildren Marc, Ross, Max, and Samuel. Alfred and Sylvia moved to Tucson in retirement and forged wonderful bonds in the Jewish Community, within their neighborhood and everywhere they went.
Sylvia was a devoted friend. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She brought care and laughter and a love of storytelling wherever she went … lightening hearts and sharing love throughout her lifetime. She had always hoped to be in the movies. To her friends and family, she was our brightest star.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24th at 2:00pm in the chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, 3015 North Oracle Road in Tucson, Arizona. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation (https://www.parkinson.org/southwest).
