Todd Douglas Taylor's Obituary
Todd Douglas Taylor passed away on September 20, 2023. Born in Washington, D.C. on April 11, 1964, Todd grew up in White Plains, New York.
As a youth, Todd enjoyed cycling, tennis, swimming and karate. Once an adult, boating, fishing and camping with his children became some of his favorite activities and sources of his most cherished memories.
Over time, Todd’s interests expanded to include politics, justice, philosophy and international affairs, among many things.
An early adopter of Facebook, Todd had found his megaphone to proudly share his children’s photos, offer musings and circulate postings of serious and funny videos that showcased current events and important issues for debate. No doubt, old and new friends and family were entertained as well as touched by his thoughtful and astute observations. And recently, Todd showed a knack for gourmet cooking, a newly emerging interest that some call Chef Todd.
Long before his culinary interests developed, Todd received his baccalaureate from the University of Washington. His studies centered around sales, marketing and business administration.
Inspired by his Uncle Guilbert’s work in the auto rental business, Todd’s tenure with Enterprise in Tucson marked the beginnings of his sales, marketing and managerial career in the automotive industry. Regarded by his professional peers as one of the top salesmen in the area, his career in Seattle included his work with Ford Motor Company and independent auto dealerships.
Todd was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Taylor, and father, Westervelt Kirkland Taylor. Siblings Karen and Kevin fondly remember their gregarious, jovial, good natured and thought-provoking younger brother. He will be missed by his loving children, grandchildren, other relatives and close friends all of whom share in remembrance.
In accordance with Todd’s wishes, his final resting place is with family at Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson, Arizona.
