Tony Thomas Calonge's Obituary
Tony Calonge passed away on January 14, 2020 at the age of 79 after a long battle with cancer. Born October 31, 1940 in Clifton, Arizona. Tony was the 3rd of 8 children born to Ray and Ramona Calonge, Sr.
Lifelong resident of Arizona, he enjoyed reading, sports, fishing, camping, spending time with family and friends. Tony retired from the Army and Arizona National Guard after 23 years of service; also retired from Phelps Dodge Mining Corp. For the past 17 years he was employed as a bus driver with Catalina Foothills School district.
Tony is survived by his wife Toni, of 59 years, daughters Alice (Michael) Phoenix, AZ, Teresa (Gilbert) Aurora, CO, Irene (Dwayne) Tucson, AZ, Jennifer (Keith), Tucson, AZ and Andrea, Sacramento, CA. Grandchildren Eugene, Joshua, Thomas, Shantel, Michele, Nicole, Unique, John, Steven, Benjamin, Christopher and nine great grandchildren. Brothers Lawrence, John, Lewis, Joe and sisters Angie and Mary, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. He is loved and sorely missed by all.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents Ramon and Ramona, brothers Ray, Jr and Rudy.
