Truyen Tu Tran's Obituary
Truyen Tu Tran, a longtime resident of Tucson, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 9, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, four daughters and sons-in-law, nine grandchildren, a brother, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Originally from Vietnam and the son of overseas Chinese, Mr. Tran and his family immigrated to the U.S. in 1980. Coming over and raising a family in a new country where he did not know the language was not easy. But together with his wife, through love and perseverance, he inspired his children and grandchildren to achieve a happy and successful life. He led a simple life, reflecting his philosophy of humility and kindness, values which have continued to pass on to the next generations.
An avid reader, he enjoyed reading Chinese and Vietnamese books and newspapers. He liked gardening and spent many hours tending to fruit trees and vegetables. His love for music is a trait shared by all of his grandchildren. He was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
