Tsuya Perez-Otero's Obituary
Tsuya Perez-Otero was born on May 12th, 1932 in Atsumi, Japan. She was born to Umejiro and Fuji Kasuya and was the oldest of 4 children. In 1952, Tsuya moved to Tokyo and worked various jobs. In the late 1950s she met her husband, Juan, while he was stationed in Japan. Juan and Tsuya were married in February of 1960 in Mexico. While Juan was serving in Vietnam, Tsuya would travel back to Japan to be with family. After moving all over the world with the military, they settled in Tucson in 1978, where Tsuya was a homemaker and raised 2 sons.
Tsuya loved baseball and was a huge fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks. She enjoyed being with family and dinners at her favorite restaurant, Sachiko.
Tsuya was preceded in death by her husband, Juan, sister Tamiko and brothers Taichi and Haruo, and best friend Toshiko.
Tsuya is survived by her sons, Ryo and Alberto (Meghann), and granddaughter Abigail Kiyomi.
