Virginia Maxine Wright's Obituary
Virginia Maxine Wright was born in Sweetwater, Texas on January 29, 1929. Her parents were John and Ida May Dunn and she was the 10th of 11 children. Maxine's family moved several times across Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. In 1936 the family settled in Marana, Arizona. In 1950, Maxine married Ernest Cornelius Wright in Florence Arizona. Ernie was stationed in Tucson at the time, with the US Air force. Ernie and Maxine had had their first son, Mike in Tucson in 1951, followed by Brad in 1953, and Gary in 1955. After that the family moved to Forbes Air force base in Topeka Kansas where their youngest son Greg was born in 1960. Ernie was then sent to Saudi Arabia and Maxine and the boys moved to Alamogordo New Mexico to stay. In 1962 Maxine and the four boys made the long trek to England to meet Ernie and remained there until 1963 when they were moved to Virginia. In 1967 the family moved to Guam and returned to Tucson in 1969. Maxine then worked at the Valley National Bank, and later worked for Faith Tabernacle Church. Virginia Maxine Wright went home to be with Jesus on April 20, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Wright, her Mother and Father, and 8 of her brothers and sisters. She Is survived by her sister Irma, her brother Danny, her sons Mike (Sue), Brad (Karen Sue), Gary (Lalaine), and Greg (Susie) as well as 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A service will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 9:30 AM at Evergreen Mortuary, N Oracle and W Miracle Mile. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Tucson Medical Center Hospice Foundation or the National Parkinson Foundation are welcome
