Wayne Nathan Pierce's Obituary
Wayne Nathan Pierce, 56, of Tucson, Arizona, went to be with the Lord in heaven on Saturday, March 6, 2021. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 29, 1964. Wayne defied the odds- health issues foretold that he would not live past his childhood. Not only did Wayne live to adulthood, but he went above and beyond. Wayne was in the National Honor Society at Catalina High School, attended Pima Community College, and graduated in the upper 100 of his class with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from University of Arizona.
Everyone who knew Wayne loved him and felt very fortunate to be part of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard South, grandmother Selma, and girlfriend Joanie. He is survived by his loving mother, Doris; brothers Rick, Daniel, and Wesley; aunts, uncles, and cousins across the United States. Not surprisingly, those who loved Wayne included and extended beyond his family. Ekoue, one of his caregivers, became a very dear friend.
A memorial service to honor Wayne will be held at a later date and time in order to maximize attendance.
