William Howard Jellison's Obituary
William H. Jellison, age 92, died, March 6, 2015 at Northwest Hospital after a battle with kidney and heart trouble. Mr Jellison is survived by his children William O. Jellison II of Tucson, AZ, Nancy Volkmann of Manhattan, KS, Judy Keenan of Daly City, CA, Patricia Jellison of Las Vegas, NV, Byron Jellison of Tucson, AZ, Susan Cook of Grant, NE, Robert Jellison of Grant, NE and Kenneth Jellison of Bridgeton, MO. A son, Michael, died May 2, 2005 and William's wife, Vondalee, died August 20, 2010.
William is a veteran of World War II, where he served as a combat Marine in the Pacific theater. He grew up in Omaha NE, the son of William O. and Matilda Jellison.
William and Vondalee celebrated 50 years of marriage in 1998 and are survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 1/2 great grandchildren. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as he will attest, " Once a Marine, always a Marine ".
