When Wynn's family moved up to Tucson and she enrolled at our high school (Amphi) she looked me up because her best friend in Sierra Vista was a Filipina girl named Johanna Polintan. It ends up that Johanna's parents were my parents' best friends in the Filipino community there in Southern Arizona. So I also got a message thru my Dad to look for Wynn and help her acclimate to our school. Part of that acclimation was introducing her to my friend Kent Maple. Actually, she noticed this good looking guy walking around the school halls and pestered me for the introduction! I take credit for them becoming a couple and although I left Tucson to go to college in California and find my career outside of Arizona, I always sat with them and our little gang at the high school reunions. It was very gratifying to see what a great match they were and hear about the wonderful family they raised.
