Yen Hee Low's Obituary
Yen Hee Low of Tucson, AZ, 89, died on December 30, 2023. He was born 1934 in Guangzhou, China to So Soon Low and Lee Sue Low. He graduated from Tucson High School and attended the University of Arizona. He served in the Arizona National Guard in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1967.
Yen (Gary) served on many civic organizations in Tucson - The Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese American Citizens Association, Tucson Chinese Cultural Center, Ying-On Association, and Chinese Senior Citizen Association.
Yen was appointed by the Pima County Board of Supervisors as a commissioner on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Yen is survived by his wife, Sim, and his two sons: Wily (Xiao), and grandkids Suzanna, Kyle, and Hong; Wing (Joyce), and grandkids Angelique and Joshua.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, January 20, at 12 noon, at Evergreen Mortuary, 3015 North Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ. Visitation on Friday, January 19 from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Tucson Chinese Cultural Center .
