Yuen Wah Wong's Obituary
Yuen Wah Wong ended her fight with Alzheimer's disease on December 9, 2017, dying peacefully in her sleep.
Yuen was born in Canton, China and lived in Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon before arriving to the United States in 1966. She was a devoted wife of forty-six years to Shu Yuen Wong. For fifteen years, they both operated Shu’s Foods Market in Southern Tucson.
She was a loving mother to Louis, Edmond, Pauline, and Roland. Yuen retired from her store to help raise her grandchildren: Raymond, Jason, Robert, Melanie, and Eric. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Mah Jong with friends, watching Chinese soap operas, and cooking for her family.
Yuen is survived by her two sons Louis Wong and Roland Wong; daughter-in-laws Lancey Wong, Amy Wong, and Cindy Wong; grandchildren Raymond Gee, Jason Wong, Robert Gee, Judy Gee, Cortney Gee, Melanie Wong, Eric Wong, Kaylee Wong; and great grandchildren, Toben Gee, Tynan Gee, Lauren Gee, and Gwenyth Gee.
Services: Evergreen Cemetery Chapel on December 23rd at 11 a.m. Post-funeral reception will immediately follow afterwards. Details will be provided at the service.
