Zona Elizabeth Strong-Clark's Obituary
Zona Elizabeth Strong-Clark, born October 10, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, to Nancy and Willis Strong, passed away at 63, on July 18, 2024, in Tucson, Arizona, following a prolonged hospital stay due to medical complications.
A devoted mother of four and more, Zona opened her heart and home to her community, offering guidance and education to many children. She was known for her exceptional storytelling, a gift she shared generously with those around her. As Well as being cognizant, to family friends who never strayed.
Professionally, Zona was a dedicated administrator at FL Smidth, where she worked diligently and earned the respect of her colleagues. Outside of work, she had a passion for gardening and a special affection for the Tasmanian Devil. Her love for life was evident in her laughter and the joy she found in sharing stories.
Zona moved to the West in 1991, where she met her first husband, John Castaneda, in Los Angeles. Together, they had three children: Carolyn, Cassie, and Jonathan. She was a proud grandmother to Anthony Livingston. And respectable stepmother to Andrew Clark from marriage to Jim Clark.
After paths separated with John, Zona, continued to embrace a life of love and remarried Jim Clark and was later partnered with James Agajanian. Throughout her life, Zona faced and overcame many obstacles with unwavering strength and determination. Her steadfast devotion to her family and her sharp, discerning nature made her a beloved figure to all who knew her.
Zona's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and the countless lives she touched with her wisdom, kindness, and indomitable spirit. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered as she reunites in the conscious universe with cherished Jonathan, her youngest and her beloved parents, to continue a journey of love and light.
