Henry Anderson Ochoa

June 11, 1931 - February 6, 2022

Henry A. Ochoa passed away on February 6, 2022 at the age of 90. He was born on June 11, 1931. He was the beloved husband to Santa Maria Louisa Ochoa of 68 years. He is survived by his wife, Santa Maria Louisa; and his children, Henry Ochoa Jr. (Barbara Ochoa); Irma Pallanes (George Pallanes); Letticia Ahumada (Manuel Ahumada). Henry had 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Henry was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. He is preceded by his parents, Gasper and Bertha, his brother, Ernest Ochoa and sisters Victoria Ochoa, Teresa Ochoa and Mercy Ochoa. He is survived by his brother, Gasper Ochoa, and sister Erlinda Ochoa. He enjoyed hunting deer, elk and javelina. Camp was his home away from home. He loved spending time with son, son-in-laws, friends and grandchildren at camp. Many of his fellow hunters can tell stories about Henry and his time at camp. All of those moments are truly cherished and forever missed. Henry was a big story teller. He enjoyed telling stories about his military experience. He served in the Army National Guard, Company B, 158th Infantry Bushmasters for 16 years. He was an honorary member of American Legion Post 68. Henry enjoyed playing baseball as a youth and was a fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Family has always been a huge part of life for Henry. He rarely missed a family event. At family events Henry loved to sing Mexican music and found joy in every moment. We will miss our time together and cherish our memories with Henry. As Henry used to say, “10-4”. Arrangements have been entrusted to Evergreen Mortuary, 3015 N Oracle Rd., Tucson, Arizona (520-888-7470). Services will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022. A visitation will be held from 8:30am to 9:00am followed by a Rosary. Funeral Mass services will be held at Santa Cruz Church at 11:00am followed by burial services at Evergreen Mortuary.
