I love to write and Betty loved reading my thoughts on paper. This morning, I wrote this for Betty:
Betty Braun
Passed March 28, 2016
She was once a girl, then a wife, but a pianist was revealed
Retired then to follow the maize to continue with what was to be
She felt comfort within her gentle soul.
She lit up the room with her smile
She reminisced of days of old
And the music that hummed for a while
Sometimes smiles; some with tears
But time marches into years
Jazzy came to fill her days and stay with her for a while
A gift indeed; this single cat, to guide her thru in style.
Her days were counted, each day a gift,
until they all were gone
We miss her now; her voice is silent
but we’ll always remember her song
