Billie Nan Beasley's Obituary
BEASLEY, Billie Nan, born March 13, 1936 in Amarillo TX, passed away on September 23, 2014. She is survived by her beloved husband Leslie LeRoy Beasley of 78 years. Devoted mother of Eric Wayne Beasley, Lauretta Michelle Beasley; cherished grandmother of Chase D. Minnick and Khloe Grace Minnick, Nathan Featherston, Jonathon Featherston, Bethany Beasley and Andy Beasley; brother, Jimmy Ray McPherson. Mrs. Beasley lost her mother at 8 years of age and then became saved at 14. She graduated high school in 1954 and then received her Bachelors degree in Social Work and a Minor in Spanish in 1961. In 1966 she married her beloved husband Leslie LeRoy Beasley and they resided in Aneheim, CA where she worked for Douglas Aircraft and as a Social Worker. They moved to Tucson in 1975 and she was employed by the Drug Enforcement Agency for five years, then as a secretary at the University of Arizona for two years. Mrs. Beasley then worked for the Child Protective Agency, State of Arizona a as a Social Worker before retiring after 22 years at age 59. After becoming bored with retirement she worked in childcare. Included in Mrs. Beasley’s many talents were playing the piano, an artist in oil painting and always being organized. She was a member of the Faith Community Church and worked with children in the Faith Community as well as being a member of the Faith Keepers. She enjoyed bible studies and helping with special events. In her spare time, her and her husband managed to travel all over. She will be remembered as always being happy and laughing and exited to hear about her children and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Faith Community Church, 2551 W.
