My most peaceful mornings were waking up with her, just she and I. Laying beside her for hours just listening to the silence of snowflakes layering feet of snow and the occasional whoosh of a pine tree bow dropping the weigh of all its snow. No birds, no cars, no radios just the silence and the occasional click of the flip clock next to us. That’s it, that’s heaven.
Mom, I will miss you so much. You think I was strong, but right now not so much. Help me from up there to keep my kids strong and tug on Jesus's arm and ask him to help Carl Lee.
Wonderful memories of us traveling and laughing and mom never forget the Waffle Houses and the post offices. Until we are hugging again......
As a kid it was always exciting getting to go see grandma at Fort Courage!!! Especially since she had a lite Brite! hee hee
