Howard G. Kraay's Obituary
Howard Kraay, 92 passed peacefully in his home on June 3, 2015. He was predeceased by his wife Frances in 2010. He is survived by his sons Thomas and Eugene (Marie); grandchildren Sean, Kira (Philip), Nick (Terri), Andrea (Hernan), Stefanie (Dave), Brad and Jesse; and great grandchildren Christian, Alex, Cassidy, Calen, Andrew, Michael, Travis, Xylia, Myla, Lyla and Kira.
Howard was born near Monticello, Indiana. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was honorably discharged in September 1945. Following the war, he settled in Massachusetts and opened a Chevrolet dealership with an old Air Corp buddy. In 1952, he earned his teaching certificate and began a career teaching at Pittsfield High School. He retired in 1977. During his retirement, Howard enjoyed woodworking and stained class. In 1998, Howard and Frances moved to Arizona.
At Howard’s request, a private service will be held at the Redemptorist Renewal Center. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery.
