My heart is with all the members of Janice's family today as you say your final farewells.
What a dear friend Janice was to me. We first met when we both served on the National Council for Lutheran Girl Pioneers. Her heart was dedicated to sharing the Gospel whenever and wherever possible. This was demonstrated by her desire to grow the LGP ministry and include girls from outside the WELS who did not know Jesus. It was also evidenced by her later involvement with LWMS and the many mission trips she took to far corners of the world.
Janice, although quiet and reserved, had a fire in her heart for God's Word. She was a wonderful example of a true servant in the church on earth. I am privileged to have known her and will miss her very, very much. The world shines a little bit less brightly now that she is gone but our loss is heaven's gain. I am happy for Janice now that she has been welcomed into the Church Triumphant and I look forward to a joyful reunion some day.
God be with you, dear loved ones of Janice. May He give you peace and comfort in the days ahead.
In Christ's Love,
Diana
