Janice Lorraine Wehausen's Obituary
Janice Lorraine Wehausen lived a full life. Born and raised a farmer’s daughter she grew up in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She attended Valders Elementary School. She later attended college at New Ulm where she received a degree in teaching. Afterwards she taught at San Pablo in Tucson AZ. Later she returned to Wisconsin where she met and married dairy farmer Roy Wehausen. They moved to Tucson in July of 1976. Janice taught elementary school, Sunday school, piano lessons, as well as establishing the Lutheran Girl Pioneers Organization of Tucson, AZ, and many other church mission organizations. After the passing of Roy, Janice became an avid world traveler. Her first mission project was teaching English in Czech, Prague. This also allowed her to travel to many nearby countries for a year. In her final years Janice returned to places of great meaning to her including Tucson, AZ. She is preceded in death by her husband Roy Wehausen. Survived by her siblings Susan, Bonnie, and Richard; children Rachel, Richard, and Jayme; grandchildren Chrystel (Larry), Matthew, Dustin, Andrew, and Jessica; and great grandchildren Brayden, Jace, Jason, and Brooklynn.
